Three Year Wedding Anniversary

Three Years?!? How in the world did that happen? How grateful I am for a such an incredible husband and father. As I was reflecting on the past three years, there has so much that has happened in our family. We got married and Eric graduated college within the same weekend, we moved to Houston for Eric's first job, I graduated from college with my degree, we moved to Ft. Worth and purchased our first home, and we had sweet Harper join our family. Life has been nothing short of an adventure and it is just getting better and better. It has been so fun to watch our family grow and experience new things together. Harper wore this shirt on our anniversary because it really was one of the "best days ever!"
Oh… And just a couple more pictures of my sweet girl from this day and the day after in her cute little "Queen Bee" outfit. Daddy jokes that she is the "Queen Bee" and that we work for her. There is some truth to that! ;) She does get whatever she wants thats for sure!

San Antonio 2016

Last year, Eric and I had the opportunity to go to the Valero Texas Open PGA golf tour down in San Antonio. You can read about that HERE. We had so much fun that we decided that we wanted to go again. The best part was that this year, Lolly and Pop (Mommy's parents) came down and spent the weekend with us. Harper stayed in her first hotel, went on her first golf cart ride, and went to her first PGA golf tour. Thankfully, we were in the Valero tent so it was alright if Harper was a little noisy. We would have been kicked out if we were out on the course.

We had so much fun watching golf, going out to fun places to eat, and spending time with family. Eric and my dad went shooting one day and my mom, Harper, and I went to lunch and shopping and we had tons of fun. Weekend getaways are much needed sometimes and so fun to look forward to. We love going to this and hope that we can make it a tradition in our family.

Six Month Update- Harper

How old?
She is half way to one! How in the world did this happen?

Size?
We went to the doctor for her 6 month check up and she weighs 17 pounds and 3 ounces. She is 26 inches long.

Sleeping?
She sleeps super well at night and only wakes up maybe once but she is still in our bed so we will see how she does once she is in her own bed.

Eating?
She loves fruit and nursing! She likes sucking the juice out of oranges and grapes and she also likes little bites of avocado.

Size of Clothes?
She fits into most 6-12 month clothes but some of her 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes still fit her  so we are getting our wear out of them while we can.

Harper Likes:
-Watching TV!
-Using her two new bottom teeth to bite things.
- Laughing, Yelling, and Talking.
- Scooting around.
- Being Naked!

Harper Dislikes:
-Sleeping when there is a party going on.
-Getting dressed.
- Getting ready for bed.

Harper Eating Fruit/ Seeing Bluebonnets and Goodbye Scarlet, Hello Mama Car

Harper is starting to like fruit! Except not in baby food style. She likes to suck the juices out of grapes and oranges out of her mesh feeder. Hopefully after this she will start to like solids more. Also, Harper and I went on a walk and found Texas bluebonnets. These flowers are so pretty and they are only out for a certain amount of time in Texas in the spring. We were on a 6 mile walk around the lake with some friends and had to stop and play in the bluebonnets for a while.

I knew the day would come that I would need a bigger car but I was not looking forward to the day. Eric was more anxious than I was about the whole thing. I had my little red car since I was 16 years old so for 7 years and I was super sad to get rid of it but it was time for a mama car. Harper and I took a super long drive in the car before we sold her. I may have shed a few tears but we are loving our new Highlander and there is tons more room so the Costco trips have been much easier. Wahoo!!
